Default help with 997 purchase

This is my first post here, and would like some input on a potential purchase. I am considering buying a 2006 leftover c4 with 450miles with the following options:
arctic silver, black full leather, power seat pkg, bose sound sys pkg, porsche crests in the headrest, heated seats, 6 CD changer, self dimming mirrors, bi-xenon headlamp pkg, and TPMS. MSRP is $88605. Asking price is $69999. The car is in out of state Porsche dealership and I would be buying it unseen. The warranty starts from the date of sales.
Is this deal too good to be true or acceptable price for a 2 year old car?
Thanks for your help.

Suggest you price the car with its options and actual miles as a used car on kbb.com and edmunds.com at least to see what the value will be when you drive it off the lot. Also check cars.com and autotrader.com for comparable cars (mileage will be higher).

I'd be a little concerned about two years (plus?) of sitting without being warmed up and driven properly - warranty is comforting but it would be nice if they'd run it through their shop to be sure and maybe change out the fluids which are two years old now.

Do you know why it has 450 miles on it but it is a "leftover" 2006? Was it some sort of demo car for the dealer? It certainly seems like a good price!
Just make sure the car didn't burn or drown or had somebody die in it.

If it was a demo car, I would assume the mileage would have been much higher. I was told there was a previous buyer who opted out for '08 model. The warranty I was told can be in writing. It will be the usual 4yr/50,000mi.

I just got 10K off on a leftover 2007 C2, so 19K off on a leftover 2006 C4 sounds reasonable to me. Certainly not out of the ordinary.

For 70K, you can also get a leftover 2007 with fewer options. So make sure you really want all those options that have driven up the sticker price.

That is a good price, however, there is something strange about 1-1/2 to 2 year old car with 450 miles that has NEVER been titled! First thing I would do is check Carfax. It would at least tell you if the car has been registered. I would have them throw in a CPO, especially if you find out the car has been registered. That will get you an additional two years of "major stuff" warranty.

Default Sounds like a good deal but.....

......I would have the dealer prove the DME Rev Range does not already put the warranty coverage into jeopardy. It would also help determine whether or not the engine has been properly broken in.

Good Luck!

Good point about rev range, properly broken in? Porsche states 2200 miles for that.....If the car checks out and you have 4/50 warranty, the price seems right. What dealership has the vehicle?

Possible high rpm test drives prior to 1000/2000 miles perhaps with a cold engine make me very nervous!!!
