I'd like to have my dash trim painted (the strips hiding the cup holders, and a few others that encompass the same trim set). Does anyone have any tips on how to remove them? Has anyone had this done? I contacted Bumper Plugs and they won't do a swap, so I'll need to remove them and send them in for painting. Thanks.

The cup holder trim pieces all come out as a single module. Torx screws are accessible when you open the glove box. The glove box lid actually covers the screws in question.
For the other pieces, they all clip into place. So with care and using a plastic wedge/trim tool you could just seperate them from the dash.

It's not that we won't do a swap...it's that in 90% of the cases, removal breaks the plastic trim. And as yet, we've had trouble getting core parts for the trim from Porsche. As soon as the parts issue is resolved we will have them available.
