The same service by my Independent Master Porsche Mechanic is $180.00 the price already includes tax and supply fees. Okay, so lets do the math at a cost savings of let’s just say $295.00. My Independent documents ALL service performed, so I have records from a certified Porsche mech.
I am in Orlando as well. Who is your trust worthy independent shop, if you don't mind sharing?

Will using a reputable independent Porsche mechanic to perform (Manufacturer Recommended Scheduled 15K, 20K, etc., Maintenance) void our warranty?

I plan to comply with the maintenance guidelines as indicated by the Owner’s Manual and Warranty – and avoid potential out-of-pocket repair costs that could result from missing an important scheduled service.

However, if an independent does the Recommended Schedule Maintenance, could the Porsche Dealership refuse to perform warrantable work if required?

I just like knowing my legal options…
You have a 2006 C2. Assuming you bought it new, maybe you paid $80,000? Is it the cost of the dealership that would bother you? I hope not. I have been told, and I believe it, that having all maintenance done at the dealership at least during the four year 50,000 mile warranty period is the only way to go. In this way, should any possible warranty issues arise during this time, the dealership knows the facts. Also, I think the dealership, assuming you have a good realtionship with the service manager, would be more inclined to help with a warranty issue when they have performed the work.

A master tech doesn't do oil changes. That's left to the joe boys.

I bring my car to an independent. A lot more convenient for me.

It's an oil change. They aren't rebuilding the transmission.

Also consider this, verified by both an independent mechanic and the dealer. The service light for 997s can only be reset at the dealer. There is a proprietary tool needed to do this on the 997s that is too expensive for most independent shops to purchase. Unless someone has figured out a hack for this. Which brings up the other question, can the service light be reset at the dealer without the actual work being performed there?
