Ah, yes, I have a V1, so, won't work for me. But a nice piece. Much like the GoPro mount.

I assume I have the new mount, I bought my detector (9500ix) last year. Is there a specific part number? I know they sell a large, single suction cup model, is that what you're referring to?

I would say that as long as your current mount is working for you then the current one is fine. If you have trouble with it detaching or bouncing too much, then this one is well worth the money. Mine came with the Passport Max but holds soooo much better than the one on my prior 9500ix.

You do have to be careful with it though. I damaged the "gel" on the original one when I wasn't careful enough about how I packed it in a suitcase on a fly and drive vacation. I had to buy a replacement. I'd recommend just leaving it permanently on your car windshield, it is too sticky to transport well.
