I did a search but didnt come up with anything. Of all things, a little piece of duct tape flew on my car and it left some marks on my hood that has the clear bra (dont ask...). Anyway, I know i can polish on my clear bra but i want to use clay bar first. Anyone done this? Will this even work or should i just try to polish it out? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I think you can, I use clay on my side shields with no problem.

 

why not try plexxus or the meguiars plastic cleaner and polish?

 

clay bar didnt work but i just polished it with Zaino Bros and it came right out. whew.

 

That stuff scratches easily even if you use a polish wax.

 

There's a joke there somewhere I just can't come up with one now ....

 

The clay will only remove surface contaminants that are stuck to the surface. It won't do anything for surface damage or imperfections.

Polishing removes away material and smooths out surface imperfections.

 

Duct tape versus clear bra? S**t, I thought I had a problem when my 997's engine needed replacing. Your suffering puts that in context. Glad to hear it all worked out in the end.
