Default I'm Back - Need Opinions

Guys,

After a short break, I am back to my old ways and bought the following:

2008 C2S Coupe
Meteor Gray/Black
Six Speed
Sport Chrono
Sport Exhaust
Extended Nav
Painted Center Con

Now for the question: My car seems kind of slow to me. I have owned a 2005 C2S w/ AWE cats and exhaust and that seemed quick. (Note: Bought used with 9500 miles on it).

Do these cars loosen up with time?

Was the AWE effect that much on my 2005?

Thoughts?

Tim

It does losen up, there is a theory that Porsche put a mileage limiter on the TT.

Yes/ They do break in and perform better in time. Mine jsut turned 18K and it performs extremely well. Some say the less dense cats allow the vehicles to breath better.

Default Something not right here...2008 C2S???

My dealer said he is not getting any 2008 until October. You're telling me you bought an 08 with 9,500 miles on it? How?

Thanks guys.

I agree on the cats comment, but I just can't do an aftermarket exhaust. Had a terrible experience with my 2007 TT and I just can't go back there. That's why I got Sport Exhaust on this one.

Jim - No. I bought an '05 with 9,500 some time ago. But I took delivery yesterday on a new '08.

What wheels are you ordering...the TT's?

500 - Sorry, I don't understand the question. I took delivery yesterday. Car wasn't ordered. Purchased from "inventory" and has Carrera S wheels.

I've read that the brain equates noise with speed, and the added volume from the AWE system on your '05 may have made it "feel" faster than your new '08.

I certainly experienced this phenomenon when I once put Flowmasters on my Range Rover and thought I had the hottest rod on the streets.

Maybe that's all it is. (I thought about that, honestly).

Ok, I just didn't see the wheel type listed and thought it was also being ordered.
I have the same color combo and Meteor is amazing; lot's of luck w/ her!

500 - Thks. I would have ordered Carrera Classic, but my dealer can't get allocations so I had to take what I could get. (That said, negotiated hard!!)

maybe it feels slow because you're coming from a 2007 TT to a C2S?!?!

Call them immediately before putting any more miles on. Of all the epuipment that is easy to change, wheels top the list. They just have to take the ones you want off another car, swap them for yours, adjust pricing, and you're done. The fact you've taken delivery makes this a tough sell. Several dealers offered to do this when I was thinking of buying and their in-stock car I was interested in had some wheels other than my choice......
