Does anyone have a picture of a ruby red 997 (preferably cab)?

I think a bunch of people are waiting for this (including me). No luck so far.

Terry at least posted a couple a pics of the sample his dealer had: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-turbo-forum/373928-ruby-red-metalic-sample-arrived.html

There was also an interesting thread on Rennteam: http://www.rennteam.com/showflat.php...=&fpart=1&vc=1

And Hellgelb photoshopped ruby on a 997TT: https://rennlist.com/forums/showpost...1&postcount=58

Currently, if you visit www.porscheusa.com, they have pictures and a short trailer featuring a Cayenne in ruby red.

Also, here's a 2007 (???) turbo for sale that the dealer claims is ruby red. I have my doubts, but who knows. It looks sort of purple on my screen: (http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...e=&cardist=212).

For future times (when the ad is gone), here are a few pictures from that ad:

The 997 turbo pics appear to be Carmon(a), not Ruby, but hard to know for certain.

I saw a Ruby car in Monterey - it was gorgeous. Sorry for not having pics, but choosing Ruby would not be a mistake - my favorite shade of red on a 911 so far.

Appears to be a lady Doc working around Ocean City MD with a 996 Cab. Gray/mauvish interior. I've seen it twice - dirty both times, but at least the top was down. Lipstick looking color.

I've heard conflicting stories regarding the Cayenne being Ruby Red. Apparently it's either Ruby Red or GTS Red.

Ruby Red is a beatiful color. I believe they had it, or something similar, on the 3.2 Carreras during the late-80's. I had a Ruby Red 944 Turbo and will see if I can dig up a photo and scan it (pre-digital camera days) just for reference of how it looks in sunlight.

Default Ruby Red

Ok, I found one of my old pics. This Ruby Red is from an '89 Production Lot so I'm not sure if the new RR has been changed. Not being a 911, the different angles of the car also impact how it looks but in general it shows the different shades of the color.

I don't think it's the same. Here is the ruby red sample as compared to carmona, arena, and guards red

Car is arena. Top sample carmona, bottom sample ruby red

Car is guards red. Carmona left, ruby right

I went to the dealer yesterday to finalize my order and looked at the ruby sample. Under the fluorescent lights, it looked like a nice burgundyish red. In direct sunlight, however, it had an almost pinky / rusty hue - I didn't like it (and didn't order it).

I came across this today as I've been curious about this color myself:

well, for one thing, I don't like the painted console in that car.
