Default Seat belt warning chime

Does anyone know how to disable the seatbelt warning chime? Please, before you all start chastising me, it is not so I can drive without wearing my safety belt.

The short answer to your question is, "No."
The long answer(s) will follow this post.
We've been over this before.

I understand that when some folks track their cars (with race harness installed), they find a used seat belt clip from the Porsche junkyards (like Parts Heaven), and just insert the used clip in the buckle to disable the warming chime of their factory seat belt.

So, is it the situation that you need to disable the chime? I am sure some of us are curious to know...

Drive safe, safe drive.

With best regards,

I had to figure out a way to turn off the seatbelt chim when using my six-point harnesses at the track (the chime would be distracting and annoying, especially since it would come on right when I'd be staging!)

Anyway, I take my rear seat belt and pull it all the way forward so that it buckles into the driver's side seat belt. It doesn't interfere with the six-point, an is long enough to fit in there. Problem solved!

Hi,
I use my rear seat belts also to plug into the
front seat. I only have a five point harness.
