Default Borla mufflers group buy?

I know there was some talk of this earlier when David Borla was designing the mufflers and tips.
there are 2 tips available and included with the mufflers the price is around 1100 and 1200.
I was just wondering if anyone has ordered these mufflers yet.
And if there are still people interested in a group buy.
Maybe some vendors can post too.

Here is a link to the mufflers with the 2 different tip options.

http://borla.com/applications/lookup.../911/Carrera+S

from what i have read it seems like these may be the best option for an aftermarket muffler, and a good value since they include better tips.

You can get them from Jegs for $1080 plus free shipping, but they charge $11 for handling.

Are many people using these yet? Last I read they had it on a 3.6L test car and they were looking for a 3.8L test car.

Hey Dave,
thanks, who is Jegs?
Lowest I found is $1040 for the standard non-intercooled tips.
This is local pickup so i would have to pay tax.
i guess this is not such a bad deal if 1080 was the lowest you could find.
topspd, i think they are still a few weeks out from shipping the ordered mufflers.
website shows they have them for 3.8 and 3.6 models

nevermind, i called jegs and got some info.
1089 is the best they can do, plus there is 11 handling charges, and if you get it shipped directly from borla you have to pay for those charges, you can get free shipping from jegs if you wait for them to get it in stock. He said he couldnt get any more discount for a group buy
I will probably end up buying from a local store, to avoid the wait.

edit. i just realized that the "local store" i was referring to is already a board sponsor. peformance products (automotion).
i will see if they can do any better than what i have already been quoted if we can put together a group buy.

Raffi are they giving board members a discount?? Showing $1159 on their site for non intercooled. You actually save $25.00 with Jegs but for this amount of money I would rather just pick it up at a shop, you're right.

I worked with Dave and his contacts and my intercooled style system was tentative for shipment on the 18th. I just got back into town after being away for a week. Nothing yet but I will be sure to let you all know...
