Default Are used 997 Carrera S 6-speed coupes hard to find?

I'm asking because I'm always curious about the market for our cars and every time I search on Autotrader or eBay, I only manage to find a handful of examples compared to a plethora of assorted 'verts and base Carreras. I'd like to hear from anyone who recently purchased or is in the process of locating a 997S Coupe with a manual transmission.

Thanks.

I'm in the process of looking for a 997 Coupe. If you search Auto Trader without limiting the search area, you will find hundreds. Some are C2 S while many are cab, C4, etc. I'm in Canada, so buying a slightly used Porsche has become much more economical than in the past (importing from the US). You can see the incresed number of cars on the road in my City. As soon as I find what I am looking for, I'll be one of those who imported from the US.

check www.porsche.com and look up the preowned section and do a search in your area by zip code

Strong $CDN dollar vs. $US for the win. 7 years ago it was the other way around, and guys from the US were buying cars from Canada.

d7 ... Me included. Mercedes Canada would not sell new into the US, but I bought a ML320 01 - in 01 - w/8k kilometers on the odo for about $10-12 less than here. Salesman met me at T.O. airport. We did the paperwork on the hood. 20min after arrival I was on the OEW headed South.

Import cost about $300 and 45min delay at the border. One hitch: if this had be Euro-built ..many more complications. We still have the kilometer speedo.. and got DRLs courtesy of the CDN MOT.

wetstuff, did you have to pay canadian taxes on your ml-320?

thought with the us dollar pretty low relative to cdn, no benefit now going to canada i guess?

There are quite a few in CA. Try Craigslist.
I just got a C2S Cab, but was considering the Coupe.
They arent moving fast as far as i could see.
Asking prices are all over the place.
