Default Exhaust tips

I did a search and only found info related to replacing ovals. Looking to replace my dual tips and have looked at Fabspeed and Schnell. Seems the FS stick out a bit more and the Schnells are currently on sale. Any feedback/info would be greatly appreciated....

They all are adjustable as to how much they stick out or not. I bought the Schnell (Fabspeed copy) during a trip to Miami and the guy behind the counter said they fit both 997 and 997 S. I explained to him that the S had bigger muffler exit pipes on the stock mufflers and on the Fabspeed mufflers that I have. He claimed they fit no problem and new for a fact they fit Fabspeed since these are just like Fabspeed tips but for $300 less.

He was totally wrong as they WILL NOT fit the 997 S larger pipes from the muffler exit or Fabspeed mufflers. So I called Schnell/Vertex back and tried to explain this to them and they were real hesitant to take the tips back. I had to threaten to disput it with Amex. I sent the tips back in with a nice letter explaining that I absolutly asked if they fit and I asked for a refund to my Amex and for the cost of shipping. I went for 2 weeks and no refund!!!!! So I called them and had to go round and round to get the refund. Schnell/Vertex would not refund my shipping even though they sold me the wrong product and claimed at the time of purchase they would COMPLETELY refund me if the tip do not fit! STAY AWAY FROM VERTEX/SCHNELL out of Miami...they do NOT know what there product fits!

have you thought of just keeping your dual tips and painting them black, might look cool on a white car.

I like the Fabspeed tips (from Fabspeed). They have a nice looking bevel to them.

I have Fabspeed tips for mine too. The fitment is not 100% perfect (it does stick out a little too much and it is not perfectly straight). I had to bring to a muffler shop and pay extra charge of labor to get these problems fixed.

I have AWE tips on my C2. Like them alot better than stock oval tips...also added an AWE exhaust too which I also like too for its deepened resonance. They do stick out about 1" more than I'd like...am told can't adjust them anymore by my shop probably due to the differences between the rear valances with the C2 and C2S (larger cut outs). But they're a keeper so far. OEM tips are cool too but waay overpriced to me.

I've had a couple of inquiries about the AWE tips. I decided to mount them backwards so that the AWE lettering is on the outside and readily visible. I also decided to tilt them slightly to mimic to some degree the factory PSE look.

they look great otherwise

How much/far do your tips stick out from tip to the edge of your bumper valance....your are less prononced than mine and I swear that my shop guy is being lazy and they are adjustable and can be mounted further in so they don't stick out as far.

Let me remind you all if you have a 997S the Schnell tips that look like Fabspeed tips DO NOT FIT the larger muffler outlet tube and the S models.

Trust me I know, bought a set and had to fight and argue like heck with Schnell/Vertex in Miami to send them back.

The real deal Fabspeed tips will fit.
