As with anything in these cars, it will take some time to learn how to best use features. Tiptronics are just another feature. I have to applaud Porsche for graduating from the days of the old "Sportomatic" automatic transmissions to the Tioptronics and how they have gained a significant market share by having the Tip available to those who prefer it to shifting. I have little time with a Tip so I'm the last guy to give advice on them. But it's always nice as an option. I think the Sports Chrono maps the Tips a bit more aggressively from what I have read.
