Black Dodge Magnums. basically all blacked out with tinted windows. starting seeing them a couple weeks ago. don't thinks this is new, but saw a burgundy Camaro too.
So far, seen mostly on Merritt Pkwy in Wallingford area and on I-84 in Waterbury area.

I drive from nyc through different parts in CT all the time. as well as I-78, 95, 80 in NJ/PA. if i had the time, i'd love to compile a list/map of known speed-trap locations in the tri-state area for our fellow rennlisters. we did it a bit for some CT roads in a thread couple months back.

I was surprised the other day to see a Gold Mist Metallic Chevy Impala with flashing back window lights on I-84 near Vernon, CT ticketing some fella. Now, I gotta tell ya, I'm not all that 'up' on Chevy sedans selling for $20K ... but, at I first tho't it was a Goldstone Metallic Malibu. But, Malibus are pretty small, so it had to be an Impala.
Man, I hate this stealth car crap that the states use to patrol the highways. I can understand using one to pinch some LLB (left lane bandit) going 55 mph, or some a$$h0le slipping from one lane to another in deep traffic risking everyone's lives.
But, just pinching some dude going 75 in the left lane is BS.
Anyway, I was surprised to see some stealthy car used by the CT State Police. Last time I remember this was when I had a '91 Mustang 5.0l. Dark green with Eibach lowering springs and some sort of shocks with big sneakers. I'd be on my way to work ... a bit late .... running 60 in a 45 and come up on somebody. They'd immediately slow down to 39 mph thinking I was a state cop. The CTHP used same/same cars. But, I gotta say ... mine was faster and better looking, too. Handled like crap, tho.

I've seen some NYC hwy patrol using laser on roads like the belt pkwy and in staten island recently. but they are easy to spot, since they need line of sight to you, so long as you lift your field of vision, you can usually spot them. rear laser is another story.

Saw the Black Magnum two weeks ago on I-84 coming home from the West Farms Mall. I have to tell you, I almost pulled in front of him before a saw the lights in the rear tinted window. Slowed down immediately. It was close because he didn't even have radar on, so the K40 was silent. Close call. Again, be careful.

I've said it once and I will say it again: if the Fuzz would spend more time tracking down terrororists, gang bangers, and drug dealers instead of pulling over hard-working, capitalististic Porsche car drivers and owners the US would be a safer place.
Fuzz lovers flame me if you want, but that's my story and I am sticking to it.
