Heh, CT cops are always pulling out nasty new tricks, especially around the westport/wilton/greenwich area.

Usually they are quite friendly though.

Radar detectors are mostly useless on the i95 that passes through CT, however, on the merrit parkway sections, since it is so far away from the commercial zones, a V1 is a MUST and quite useful, not many false alarms.

as I recall, on 95 in that part of CT, those traffic density sensors use X band - so your detector is going off constantly.

My experience on I-95 in CT is not good. I think that the use of ANY radar detector is pretty much useless. EVERY time I've been on that road in the last 5 years .... I'm going like 12 mph.

Took me over 2 hours to get from New Haven to the NY border last April.

My V1 is pretty much useless ... except for those times when I can reach 75 mph for a couple minutes behind a CTHP car.

CRAP .... !!
