Dension Gateway 500 Folks - Where is Your iPod in Your 997
Where/how do you have your iPod installed? Glovebox, somwhere else?
Also, now that all is said and done, how much did you spend (parts and install) and was it worth it?

I wrote up my thoughts here on my web site.
I installed all of it (including the iPod) up front in the trunk. The PCM interface is pretty awful, but it's not that awful and I didn't figure it was worth the installation hassle just to have physical access to the iPod from the driver's seat. For the most part that logic has proved to be sound, except the Denison is flaky and I periodically have to unplug and plug the iPod back in to get the Denison to "see" it. When that happens it's sort of a pain that it's in the trunk.
I drove around yesterday with no working iPod because I was feeling too lazy to stop the car and pop the trunk just to re-plug the iPod in.
That said, the Denison is by far the best option going for iPods in Porsches. I'd buy it again no question, despite the minor flakiness.

Nugget, are you running version 2.03 firmware on the Dension, and is your ipod up to date?

Glove box, 2.03, I-pod works fairly well, occasional failure to change sources. Blue tooth a little flakey, needs a software upgrade for stability and easier voice dial out.
