My suggestion is get yourself a new pair of glasses or get your eyes checked. Porsche's are fast and mostly reliable. They ARE NOT attractive.
I can only think of a handful of cars that look better and I'm drug free!

I reallly like it, but it is a little insulting to BMW. It basically the Carrera is the better sports car, by the BMW has more utility. If you take their philosophy to a higher extent, it is easy to understand why Porsche makes the Cayenne.

Ain't that the case, my 3-series is in the shop for coolant issues and faulty sensors.

Same here: while my M3 is currently waiting on a new transmission (yes, an entire transmission), I've never had any mechanical problems with any OEM parts on any Porsches currently in my extended family.

I find it tougher and tougher to get excited about any current-model BMWs, and easier and easier to fall for the Cayman S.

The 997 driving experience is another league beyond the E46 M3, but my experience with reliability has been the opposite...a new transmission is only one in a long list of problems with the 997, while my M3 was almost trouble-free for four years. Both were first year cars.

BMW what a joke. Comparing a pure sports car such as the 911 to a M3 If I want room and utility I take out my Jeep Grand Cherokee 4X4 and blast past all the M3's in the snow
If I want to have a fun day of driving I take out my 997. End of story.

May be its my age but i love my cars styling and all that came before. If i had to pick my least favorite it would be a 914 cause it looked to much like a bmw! Would i have to be high to appreciate a 911's style? I just dont think so.

Frumpy retro joke? That speed yellow 997 in the BMW brochure is a fantastic looking car. And, as we all know, the speed yellow 997's are faster than those of other colors. I read somewhere that the factory gives the speed yellow models about 25 extra horsepower right out of the box. Will all of the speed yellow 997 owners please confirm this?

I think it's the lighter weight paint that does the trick, but on the downside they attract police like those yellow bug zappers attract bugs.

Quite remarkable actually. It's very rare to see the competition mentioned in an ad, let alone such a favorable and respectful reference. Quite a risky marketing approach in my opinion.

The top on the M3 looked a little heavy. I can see putting all that extra weight and luxury on a 3series, but they should make the M more like an RS. BMW already has a complete line up of luxo-tanks. Why not have one model where they spend money on weight savings and engine tuning?

My suggestion is for you to check your insurance coverage and look into a CAT scan. There's got to be something missing in your head (hopefully nothing extra growing in there).
