Default PIWIS vs Durametric

Can anyone explain for me the advantage of Piwis versus this: http://www.durametric.com/buy.aspx

I am posting this on several Rennlist forums (perhaps, incorrectly).

The PIWIS is Porsche's all-purpose diagnostic/programming tool. If there's an electronic setting anywhere on your car, this is the tool that can change it. It's a professional-grade tool for use by dealerships and independents with deep pockets. My recollection is they run around $10-12K per year for software updates. This tool is supplied by Porsche and guaranteed compatible with their cars. The Durametric software is more limited in its application, but priced and targeted at smaller shops or enthusiasts with more limited ambitions.
