Default New guy saying Hi!

Hello guys,
Been a lurker for too long. Time to check in and say HI.. I have just bought a 997 S with the X51 kit. Take delivery tomorrow, june 16th.. Happy fathers Day.. lol
I have been a long time Porsche fan but decided the bug had to be satisfied (partially) now. Previous cars have been BMW M3's and M5's.
I look fwd to posting pics and chatting with a lot of you.

regards, Andre

Very nice purchase w/ X51. What other options&colours did you go with? And what an amazing Father's Day present-I think you win!

Welcome Andre, and congratulations.

I'll be the first to say it... "we need pictures!" <g>

I know that you'll have a great weekend!

Welcome! and congratulations on that ride.

Now, as part of your initiation into the Rennlist tribe, you must let me test drive your new car!

Isn't Rennlist great?

Hey Andre--

You were on Suzy's list right? I was, too! Had a 97 M3 Coupe (Cosmos Black). After about 10 years, I replaced it with a 2007 Carrera. It's excellent. Welcome, from someone who is relatively new to the list. You'll find this is a lot more intense than the M3 list, that's for sure.

Default I feel like a long lost family member .. WOW

What a friendly welcome ... Thanks a lot.

Options on my Black on black are as follows:
Heated seats, Sport Chrono plus package, Telephone Module PCM, NAV module PCM, Bose sound, Gear shift and E brake in Aluminum, 19' Carrera sport wheels, Crest in headrests, Red Seat belts, thick leather steering wheel, mats and the most important... X51 pack... Hmmmm

So, did I get any work done? Yes I did .. but my brain was clearly not too focussed on it 100%.

I am likely more possesive over my cars than I am over my toothebrush... so not test drives . And no, Jakeman.. I was not on Suzys?? I am on the M5board.. my name there is M Power..

Anyway.. les than 12 hours and she is mine .. My wife "kindly" gave me the day off to drive anywhere and everywhere I desire .. She rocks!

Pictures will follow soon.. I have an idea that there will be a lot taken tomorow.

Once again, thanks for the warm welcome and I will check in tomorrow.

Andre

Congratulations Andre, welcome to the board and I can't wait to see pics. I'm not sure where you live and what dealership you are using but there is a great Father's Day Concours event at the Litchfield Inn, in Litchfield Ct this Sunday. Bring your new baby and check out all the nice P-cars especially the 356's. They will have a special presentation from the 356 club at the event. Good luck and drive safely, hope to see you there. Once again Congratulations.
