Default Multifunction Steering wheel refit

Has anyone chose to undertake the mutifunction steering wheel refit after delivery and purchase? It seems a simple refit (i.e. parts and labor); am I am thinking about it as my next mod as I do like to be able to change those functions without looking to the PCM. Anyone done it or have any experience with it on an 997?

Parts used, where obtained, and overall cost would be much appreciated....
thankx

I have teh M/F wheel on my 997, factory fitted, but it is superb. Thoroughly recommended. Two things to watch out for. It will need "programming" to talk to the PCM and the rim may be thinner than you are used to.

I ordered my car with the MFW, but somehow the order got screwed up and the car arrived without it. My dealer installed it prior to delivery for the factory price. It has worked flawlessly for 10,000 miles and I would recommend it.
