Default Painted red "S"

Anyone here paint the Carrera 4 "S" red on the rear? I've been thining about it and how it would look on my Midnight Blue car. Also. if anyone has, how did you do it? Hand painted or shop done? I have some Guards Red paint and thought to do this....but am not sure. Any help appreciated...

I saw a black 4S with red S, red Carrera sport wheels, red seatbelts and red stitches on the interior. Looked very nice.

I thought it was just me that thought about these things. I just did this today but I need to get better adhesive. I removed the emblem, spray painted it red and re-installed it with 2 sided tape. Do you like the look? I didn't know Erik sold these types of things or I would have bought it from him

There is a guy that does DE's with our group with a black 997 S and he paint the S red. It looks really really good in my opinion.

How about painting the 4 along with the S?

The red S was used on the 996 C4S logo and my Lloyd mats have Carrera 4 logo with the red S. It emphasizes the S model vs the C4. It's all personal preference.

I'm doing something a bit more with the scriot and "S".

The script will be painted speed yellow first, then shot over black, but leaving a shadow of yellow outlining the script. The "S" will be done transposed: Black first, then speed yellow as the predominant color with black shadow.

This will look very sharp on my black C2S!!

Eric did mine. EVERYBODY asks me about it in the Porsche community here.

Hey Dean...you will lose the shadow on the S portion....you might want to rethink that one. The black shadow on the black car will make the 'S' look smaller in proportion to the thicker pieces that have a yellow shadow.

Yeah, we do this stuff all the time. The two-tone wheel caps are a big one for us too, especially the GT3 and RS caps.

Good point. I'm trying to mock it up on the computer to see what or how much shadow will wash it out etc.

Didn't know you did color script or "S" in different colors? I may have to obtain one to see what it looks like. I have spare script and "S" still in Porsche plastic bags waiting to be painted.

Thanks Eric- Looks like I'll contact you for one.

Deanski

Personally, I don't think the Red S looks that good on my car! Do you think that the red cape hanging out from under the engine lid is a little too distracting?
