Agreed. I like a fixed wing on the track and it looks right. But on the street, I want the 911 "shape" and I don't need the "pick me, pick me" advertising when the CHP is blitzing and needs to choose one of the hundreds of cars side by side doing 80 in a 65 on the freeway.

Back in the late 60's and early 70's, American manufacturers started putting ridiculous looking rear spoilers on cars like Plymouth Dusters, etc. They marketed them as some kind of performance upgrade package when in reality they were just a poser upgrade. The were driven mostly by undercover cops trying to look cool ( hey it was a long, long time ago)......
I've never been able to stand spoilers on street cars since...

yep, that would be me too. and the only wing that flies with me is one of the Techart ones that isn't too big or tall.

having said that, i must be honest with myself. i did like the look of the whale tail on the late 80's 911 Turbo.
