It's Atlas Grey. After seeing Synergy's GT3 front bumper cover I wish I had gone that route as I really like the center vent. No side skirts for now; I think I'm done other than getting my Fabspeed's installed. I just want to hear my motor.....

I suspect it may still be possible to modify the front bumper cover and install a center vent. If you do, I would recommend a carbon fiber vent which looks awesome next to the Atlas Grey. As for the side skirts, I would definitely add a muffler first...but side skirts get the front and side heights balanced.

From another Aerokit owner to one another... LOOKS GREAT!!

Now, save the painted lower lip, and put on the GT3 one which is matte black.

Trust me, you'll wack that lip no matter how cautious you are!

I only wish I did it sooner as my original lip is toast! The GT3 lip I have on now is really showing wear, but ah.. who cares, I can always pick-up another and install it in about 15 minutes.

For myself, one day I may convert to the GT3 front bumper as I like the idea of the slats as a funtional part. I may also go so far as adding the Gurney flap on my rear spoiler.

Also, put some paint protection film on ASAP!!!

Regards,
Deanski

Danski thanks for the great idea. I know it's only a matter of time....
I didn't know about the matt black GT3 lower lip. I'll call Sunset and order one tomorrow. I will be curious to see how they price the GT3 lip vs. the Aerokit lip....

The GT3 lip is really one that has not been primed for paint. It takes about 15 minutes to change. Just loosen the keepers by the wheel wells, then start pulling it out carefully so not to flex it too much and crack the paint, even though it has a urethane flex additive, just go easy. The GT3 snaps back in from one end to the other and re-attach the keepers, you're done! No need to put the car on a lift.

Put the paint film on the bumper soon as well. It's gonna get stone chipped fast since it's so damn low.

John! That Carrera has really become something!

Word on the street is you were thinking of a GT3? : )

I had some interest in trading Paul for his Manthey car, but only because of that kit. As your know he sold it and moved up..... I'm happy with this car for now, perhaps an RS in the future....

Dean I ordered 2 of the GT3 lower lips today from Sunset Imports (Porsche) in Portland, Or. They were $ 84. per + shipping. The Aerosport lower lip is twice that and they couldn't tell me why. Any thoughts?...

I think the GT3 chin is about $116, so you got a good price from Sunset, but the Aerosport kit part might be prepped for painting and that's means better shipping packaging as well as the extra labor to sand, surface prep spray and "**** coat" spray the piece -- it's also a stiff, almost rigid PU unlike the flexible black plastic piece.

What's the part number?

What I know is the "Aerokit" lip is primed. The GT3 is just an extruded plastic lip.

You still have to have the "Aerokit" lip painted.

My GT3 one is really beat-up now, but it's sure cheaper. Wish I knew of it sooner as my original is toast.
