Default Thinking of some gifts for my Porsche...Now with Coco mats

I'm considering a painted ignition rosette, seat belt outlets from bumper pugs, Das Shield, Coco mats in black with red dots, and Porsche luggage.
I do have some questions though.
Is Porsche luggage specificly designed for our cars? I like the Porsche Travel System and Carfit lines and wonder if they will fit precisely in the front boot and rear deck of my 997S.
How difficult is it to remove and install the ignition rosette and seat belt outlets.

I understand the Porsche Travel System is made to fit the trunk precisely. Nice stuff, but pretty pricey. (You might try Sunset Porsche and see if they extend their parts cost+ pricing to these items.)

If you get coco mats, check out http://www.cocomat.com/. I recently got coco mats for my 356 from them, and they make a nice, heavy duty, very quality product.

PTS is luggage built by German company Rimowa, and simply rebadged and marked up accordingly.

http://www.rimowa.com/main.php?count...ng=EN#products

Probably better to buy the non-Porsche versions from a cost perspective - having said that Rimowa is not cheap luggage!

It's in the same price range as Zero Haliburton, and is a similar aero aluminum metal shell, although Rimowa is ribbed in the style of old German prop aircraft.

Discount Luggage is a good source online: http://www.discountluggage.com/shop/rimowa.php

I have a Rimowa briefcase, and love the look and quality - but for luggage I went with Zero Haliburton, and found a perfect fit for the front trunk to maximize the use of space when traveling.

Simple enough to take the PTS dimensions, and pick the luggage from the manufacturer of your choice.

Ignition Rosette is a piece of cake. Seatbelt outlets are not bad either. We have instructions for nearly each piece we offer.

Email me anytime. eric@bumperplugs.com

Thanks!

Hi, Lori,

I bought in Zuffenhausen when I picked up my new car the PTS for the front trunk (despite of the fact, that they are damned expensive). But they fit nicely, the quality is excellent and for those of us, who like the lobster forks, the trolley is equipped with them.

Best regards
Rolf

Not a fan of overpriced car brand luggage.

I've decided to skip the luggage for now and go for black with red dot Coco mats and painted interior trim parts from Bumper plugs.

Lori - I guess it depends on how much other red you have in the interior. IIRC, you got the red seat belts, but I don't recall what other bits of red are in the car. Maybe you could post a pic of your interior so we can see what you have and then we could comment on the red ignition rosette.

Other red items on my car are black with red dot Coco Mats that I'm getting, the fire extinguisher and of course red brakes. I'll post a pic.

Lori -
I recommend the Porsche umbrella to fill that funny hole on the passenger side sills....and a Hello "Hula" Kitty that clips on to the vent:

Lori, do you have the Porsche coffee cup. My wife loves it because it is insulated and keeps her jave nice and hot. One last thing that might add a touch are the Carnewall pedal set. They do look sharp and have a nice feel. Hope this helps.

Lori,-try not to overdo it either, though!

Porsche also made available luggage in leather to match your interior,--but it's a little pricy. Not sure if they're doing that any more.
