Default Is that, like, a rhetorical question?

In S.B. the weather is always cloudy from about April to September. The only difference between days is what time the fog finally burns off. I went to UCSB aka University of Chicks and Sunny Beaches.

That's sort of a locals' trick. We do that to discourage others from moving here. As long as others see it as just a foggy place they won't be back to live here.

On Monday it was 86F at 8:30 pm after a high around there with nothing but clear skies all day. It was in the upper 70s late last night as well. I ssupect we will break a record today.

The "June Gloom" is what a lot of tourists experience. The secret to SB is to be here in the fall and winter. The skies are clearer and there are less tourists. We got something like 3.5 inches of rain this "winter" (from Sept to March) so this will be a rough summer.
