Hi. I just received my RUF shift ****/integrated boot. Unfortunately, as much as I like the look, after using it for 24 hours I find myself liking the factory shift **** better. I purchased this (the last one) from RUF here in the US for $399. I'd be willing to let it go for $325 +shipping. It is brand new, having only been installed yesterday.





I'm planning to use the proceeds to buy a short shifter instead.

Fits: 2005-2007 Manual Carrera's/GT3's etc.

 

i have the porsche OEM short shifter....its awesome. my last porsche had the standard shifter and then i swapped it out for a SS too. worth the money for sure. the RUF **** looks cool, why didnt you like it? thats alot of coin for a shift **** and boot...but thats RUF i guess.

 

This is my first P-car and I guess I bonded a bit with the feel of the factory shift ****. Driving with the new shift **** just felt too different to me. Normally I would never had spent so much for a new ****, but I wanted to keep the car as true as possible, and only the RUF **** is designed specifically for the 997. Everything else in my opinion is 'aftermarket'. RUF has always been associated with Porsche in mind, so it wasn't a stretch to go with a company that is almost a 'factory tuner'. It truly is a work of art and craftsmanship. Next stop eBay if there are no takers.

It's a very cool looking **** but I too find the stock **** to be extremely comfortable.
