Exclamation Hot off the press...

http://www.worldcarfans.com/spyphoto...targa-facelift

I've found World Car Fans (formerly German Car Fans) to reasonably accurate over the years. Looks like the car could be a 2008MY and 20-25 addl hp would be very very nice altough I think it will be a tad less. What I'd really like to know is if torque increases and at lower r's.

Taillights are fine; no better nor worse than the current design, IMO. However, I just don't understand why, after so much criticism over the original 986/996, Porsche is reverting to a very Boxster-like front bumper design.

Interesting that the test car has 996 GT3 seats.

Prediction, all the people who have bought the current edition 997 will hate the "refreshed" 997.

I like what changes and rumours, re DI, extra hp and econ as very positive! Of course I am waiting on "referesh" to order.

If you look carefully, you can see the turn signals integrated into the outer air intakes, which are now very separate from the center intake (just like the Boxster). There is silver tape around the turn signals to make them look like the current car's.

That front splitter looks a bit "turbo-esque" to me, with the horizontal fins in the intakes. Looks like the turbo's LED turn signal array didn't make it, though.

Now the squared-off front side markers look funny next to the more ovoid front turn signals... hmmmm. That silver tape job is rather deceiving, though... as intended.

I'm more interested in the DI technology than the look of the front and rear valences...

Don,
The latest Cayenne has the Direct inject already on the new models.
Check out their info at the porsche web site.
Pretty cool stuff.
