SUV dinged my door
This idiot owner of this giant SUV parked next to me like a S**thead and dinged my passenger door while I was at work. Bad combo--clueless/inconsiderate jerk with behemoth SUV... unsafe on the road AND in the parking lot. Unfortunately, I was in a hurry and couldn't wait for the driver to return. I left an angry note, but of course, no reply.
Anyone knows a good body shop in the San Jose/Bay Area?

Infuriating im sure.I avoid tight spaces at all costs and have used my other cars many times because i know parking will be an issue.I give you credit for the self control not to ding his car in some way.

I know the feeling-had one in the same spot. If you were in Houston, I could direct you to the perfect artist to take care of it. The location is easily accessed, and once you have found the best dentless man (sorry but don't think that a woman would stoop to this profession), you should have a perfect result. Talk to the highest end auto dealer or body shop in the silicone valley, and get a referral that way. Best wishes.

I had a TT a few years ago, and I was working on a Saturday. Only two cars in the parking lot, me and a Ford Explorer. Somehow, the driver managed to back up into my TT, taking out three panels and one light assembly.
SUVs are dangerous.
I've had my Pcar for 3 weeks, and so far I've been able to park next to or between co-workers every day. I'm also fortunate that I can park outside my window, so I have a halfway decent shot at seeing any idiot who might be looking for a big repair bill...

I had dent like that removed with the paintless dent removal technique. As mad as was when I found the ding, I am now that happy as I cannot tell there was ever a dent. Hopefully you will feel the same too.

Sorry to hear that, If you are handy, you could try Ding King. Works for my 3 vehicles.
I'm disappointed you let that ******* get away just like that. If it was me there WILL be sweet revenge...(I don't care what anybody thinks either).

As much as that completely su_ks, at least it was not 18 inches back and four inches higher...as mine was, no paintless dent removal for my little pepe.
Can't help with your area, good luck.

Brother, I feel the pain. The only good news is that any decent paintless dent removal expert should be able to make it disappear. Ask you Porsche dealer who they use for these.

In my younger, angrier days I carried superglue in my car for occasions like this. It works wonders at gluing the other car's doors shut permanently. And gluing their wipers down. Or glueing toothpicks on the side of their door spelling out "A_HOLE". 10 years and a law license later, I try to avoid this kind of anger. Karma can be your best friend or your worst enemy.

I was in Scottsdale this past week on vaca - never saw so many Porsches in one place! But, there was a perfect, new silver 997TT parked in Kierland Commons parking lot, with less than 18" space between his car and a monster SUV on one side and an E350 on the other. Either the Porsche owner just uses his car, parks it in crowded lots and expects an occasional ding (probably healthy behavior, but I couldn't do it) or he is a perfectionist who is going to be really pissed when he sees his door(s) dinged from his 'risky' parking. Bottom line, expect that people are either not going to care (or notice) if they accidently ding your car, or some will actually do it on purpose out of jealousy. In any event, if there's no paint damage, get paintless dent removal - it's cheap and undetectable. Good luck - your 997 is gorgeous.
