Default Okay? So it's not just me: Challenge what to buy

Now, I feel better I'm not sick, or at least, I'm no sicker than all of you

So; Given that I just spent $88k on this one, I'll have to go make a deal in my business and generate some more windfall funds.

What would make good compliment to it?
1.) I have no more garage space. I live in the city and am lucky to have two garages as it is. One space is definitely my wife's.
2.) I have extremely rusty mechanical ability and almost no tools.
3.) I have no intention of racing,. repeat after me; I have no intention....

I've got the same affliction. I've had the 997 C2S Cab for about 1 year and I love it.

But I find myself thinking about a turbo all too often. Wouldn't want to trade in the cab for a turbo. I'd want to have both of them.

I never understood how or why people would get rid of a car like a 964 RS America!!! I would do everything humanly possible to keep a car like that!

I enjoy having an air-cooleed classic and one of Weissach's latest and greatest to drive. You get a real feel for the whole "Evolution" concept when you look at and drive these cars back to back.

You may find that if you do a financial comparison, a stiff drug habit is a cheaper alternative to Porsches. Fortunately, Porsches are legal and they don't tear up the body as much,--but they are more expensive than, say, a crack habit.

hehe. very, very true. but with my crack habit, i was hardly holding on to my job, which, at the end of the day, wouldn't even support the habit. in all seriousness, though, there's not much of a difference b/w a drug habit and a p habit. they say drug and gambling addictions are all about trying to recreate that first high-- remember when we drove our first p-car? i sure as hell do. and i would bet for most people here, when getting a new p-car, which is better all around than their first, it's just not the same. all that being said, i won't even talk about my **** addiction . . . . .

I must be on drugs because I actually woke up in a sweat the other night dreaming about a 997TT. I've only had my 997CS since last Nov., and love it, but the more I see and read about the turbo, whoa. I also had a dream that involved a Veyron, but that was XXX rated...

Great to know I'm not alone with this affliction. Within a week after buying mine, I was searching the internet for another. I'll need to let this one hang by itself for a couple of years so my wife can get used to it before I broach the subject.

At that point, probably a 356, early 911 targa, or perhaps an 87-89 turbo look targa.

With two kids heading off to college in the next several years, a second one isn't likely to happen for me, but I also find myself looking for one from time to time none-the-less. Right now my kick is to buy an older car for track purposes. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately), I don't have anywhere to store another car. So between finances and storage space, I doubt it will happen. I did buy two in succession as a result of an accident (search for "I got hit"), and I have to say the hunt for the right car is part of the fun of ownership for me.
