I am at the dealership and brought the car in to get the PCM software updated from 2.1 to 2.1b. The update didnt take and now the car is on some form of Porsche "life support" and electronic items are "missing" from the PCM.

Any thoughts?

thoughts on what?
software issues happen, the dealer will make it right.
software issues tend to happen alot as the translation from germa to engish isnt always right , it usualy take a little time to figure out what went wrong but there wont be any long term effects

 

Does Microsoft have any large stock position in Porsche?

 

did you get the dreaded "Blue screen of death"?

 

Why did you need an update?
