My advice is if it isn't worn or damaged leave it where it is.

Are they difficult to replace? Mine have quite a few pits with only about 200 miles on the car...I don't know what is worse, the fact that they are pitted after 200 miles, or the fact that I've had my car since December and only have 200 miles!

I replaced one side on my 993 with a kit from Invincashield. To remove the old part, park the car in the sun to heat the panel and slowly pull it off. THe harder part is removing the gummy reside. I tried every solvent in the garage, and finally used 3M Tar and Adhesive Remover along with a soft teflon scraper. The paint underneath still matched the surrounding area perfectly.

When reinstalling, use lots of the soapy water to provide slip to position the piece. Be aware that the alcohol and water solution bonds RIGHT NOW, so be prepared. It can be useful to anchor a spot of fix a stubborn edge, but you can move the that spot any more.

I know, its rough just making trips around the block...but on the upside, the weather is starting to get warmer and no more snow will mean I can spend a little more quality time with Blue!

Today I found several bubles filled with air and water in one of the side protectors. The other one is fine.
How the did that happen?
anyone had this problem before? my car is 1 year old.
