Kudos to you guys - this is friggin hysterical.
Maybe someone can call the manager but tell the person who answers the phone that it is about something other than EBay in an effort to get through.

Sad but this has been a problem for years on many makes & models. One of the first one that I am aware of is the Nissan Maxima, there were quite a few lawsuits against Nissan from states & insurance companies. What's more pathetic is if you do a search on ebay, you will find tons of headlights for sale with broken tabs. Some of these sellers even have the nerve to tell you the lights are in perfect condition except the tabs had been broken but repaired

And thanks to these low lifes, our insurance premium will be higher because these activities. The only thing I can think of is to put VIN #s on the lights. Is there a way to engrave or etch into plastic?

Why not call the Burbank PD? If there is something wrong here, it might also involve transporting (shipping) "stolen" property across state lines etc, etc?

Here you go - VIN etching DIY kit

http://www.vinguard.org/doity.htm

All you need to do is etch the VIN on the light pod somewhere

If it was totaled it would have ended up here. They specialize in Porsches and it is pretty close to Burbank:

Listing closed by E-Bay. I just got this E-mail from them....

"Our records show that you were a bidder or buyer of one or more of this seller's items. We recently removed this seller's active listings and suspended the seller's trading privileges. Due to privacy concerns we cannot share further details about this seller.

If the seller asks you to complete this transaction outside of eBay, we strongly recommend that you do not proceed with the transaction. Transactions for items listed on eBay but then completed off of the eBay platform are not covered by buyer protection programs offered by eBay and can be highly indicative of fraud. For more information on Offers to Buy or Sell Outside of eBay, copy and past the following Help Page link into your browser: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/...ebay-sale.html.

If you have already paid for this item but have not received it, you should take all possible steps to receive reimbursement."....
