My wife thinks somethings wrong with me because i wax my car all the time.I try to explain the enjoyment i get out of rubbing my car but she doesnt get it.I just got yelled at which led me to post this hoping i can show her im not the only one doing this.A porsche is different than my work truck or her minivan...the car just cries out to be shined and cleaned constantly.Ive got it bad.

 

i think it's because you mention "rubbing" and "nuts" in the same converation about your car that probably has her concerned.

 

Just let her know the truth - that you just realized that subconsciously taking time alone to do something "mindless" is your form of therapy. That without some quiet time with your car, you'd be a wreck.

A dangerous tactic. You could get the old, "wouldn't rather be with me routine".

I suggest the elaborate story I came up with on very soft and delicate German paint and voiding of expensive warranties and the such.

 

I'm sure she is aware of the 997 curves and how they connect to a womens body. This has been discussed many times and there is something very, very, sensuous about the 997, especially the "hips" that are very curvaceous. There is no denial why we wash and wax our cars....the "best feel" without getting into trouble!!

 

Just tell her to shutup and be happy that you're rubbing curves on your car and not on a mistress.

Actually, I'm lucky that my wife understands me and lets me play with my cars. I don't think she really quite understands, but she lets me be me. And it is great therapy.

Tell the wifey she can "rub it" with you and she might just like it...but then you have to ask yourself , do you really want her "rubbing it", as you can probably "rub it" better yourself right ?

 

Tell her she should be happy you're rubbing wax on that car and not on some babe down at the beach. She should be HAPPY!

But I find the process relaxing, and the end product is also very gratifying. fwiw, after several days of rain here, I went out right after dinner tonight and washed my car.

 

I think you have all misunderstood his wife. She actually wants him to "rub her more" instead of the car!

 

This can be easily repaired in a few easy steps:

1) Buy here some nice earings
2) Tell her how pretty the earings look on her
3) Send her to the spa
4) Wax your car while she's at the spa

 

What a HARMLESS girlfriend the P-Car can be. It could be worse!

 

Why not take that wife out to dinner after waxing that garage queen? Turn the cleaning and waxing process into an event - everyone wins!
