Default 997S on Water

I've been hanging around the board for almost a year. I ordered my car last December, and this board was very helpful in picking options. Thanks to all.

Dealer told me today that my car is "on water," according to the order tracking system. Based on prior experience, how long do you think the trip takes from Germany - couple of weeks? I believe the car will land on the East Coast; the dealer was unable to tell my the destination port or ship name.

Just ordered some winter mats and a Dustop in preparation of receiving the car. I'm getting excited.

Congrats! The trip on the water should take about 10 days or so but things happen. Find out the name of the vessel and there are those here who can tell you how to track it.

Wow...that's got to be exciting, congrats!

As of Feb 28, I was told my car was in the "planned production phase" and that I should be getting it in the second half of April. I put in the order on 12/17...so it's already been a long time. It's been so long now that, to be honest, the excitement has mostly worn off...it's almost not "real" to me anymore that I'll ever get this car.

9974G, sounds like you have about another month. For placing an order on 12/17 (I placed mine on 12/20), that seems like a long time to wait to go to production. Best of luck on your wait. You'll definately feel the rush of excitement again when delivery gets closer.

Thanks 9elf S. I was suppose to get a feb build date, but they didn't get a 997C2 allocation for that month, so they gave me the one they got for march.

Remember to post pics of your new car!
