Looks to me like the car got the showcar treatment: i.e. colorsanding to remove all orangepeel and leave the clearcoat smooth as glass.
I did that for the Boxster S I used to have.

These are all very very flattering comments I detailed my car myself the night before the show. The picture isn't digitally enhanced either, it was jsut taken with a regular point and shoot digital camera. The specific procedure I took with that detail as well as every detail before any show consists of my sponsor's products, Meguiar's. I basically just washed it with the NXT car wash, then buffed it with step 1 paint cleaner, and then step 2 polish and finished it off with the NXT liquid wax. The entire front end is covered with a clear bra, and I never put wax on the film, however I spray it with Plexus Plastic Cleaner and wipe it down. Then when I get to the venue, I spray the car down with Meguiar's quick detailer.
