Default PCCB in wet , I'm confused?

Porsche says they are great in the wet, yet I see many folks here who say they are not very effective after they get finished washing their car/wheels, aren't these conflicting claims?

Bring it down to my level so that I can understand please.

It has been my experience when driving in the rain for a while without braking, the first braking leaves you momentarily feeling like uh oh, but then they will grab. Now I always tap the brakes occasionally to keep them warm / dry, then they work great in the rain. Its just that first instant that it takes a second for them to grab.

same performance with any other brake system, spraying with water then driving a few yards then braking will produce that 1 second 'oh crap' effect. Normal driving in rain = not an issue however as the brakes are constantly putting pressure on the rotor. No difference vs. Fe rotors.

PCCB's offer two good performance benefits, reduced fade and reduced unspring mass. Both fantastic improvements you can feel at the track.

Never a problem in light or heavy rain. One of my favorite options!

It's as you stated.... Only when I wash the car and soak the rotors that they have a delayed effect. In rain, they seem fine by me.

One of the best options, although not as thrilling as say an X51, but none the less, very nice option.

It can be very scary when they get very soaked, like after a 'no touch' car wash. It takes me 3 good brake runs from 40 - 10 mph to get back to normal braking.
