They are held on with, I was told 3m double sided tape, it's more like 12M double sided epoxy.
I removed them with a plastic body-filler spreader, heat gun and a small curved pry-tool.
Heat one side until hot to the touch, slip the plastic filler spreader under the edge, wrap electrical tape over the pry tool, then heat and gently lift with the putty blade under the tool for protection. Most of the tape came off with the sills, the remainder I took off with heat and oil-flo solvent.
