I have a recently installed dension 500 unit in my 2006 c2s with pcm and am having problems. Basically the menu does not seem to work, so I can not search artists, albums etc. I have read the manual and seem to understand it but still no go. When I go into CD6 the menu appears but that is basically as far as I can go. I can't search or choose anything. Anyone have any ideas.

I only listen via the Aux input (XM and an MP3 player), so I don't have menu options. But I do remember instructions whereby you set what level of menus and text are available. I believe it was turning on/off the Aux/CD changer switch 3 full times rapidly. And then adjusting from the PCM to select the level of menus allowed. Did you try this?

Can't you use the scroll wheel selector push button?

 

I think there is a configuration menu to change how this works, but by default to select an option in the menus you need to use the >> command (i.e. >| held for 3 sec).

I read the other explanation many times and tried it, but still not able to access the menu area. I tried the >> key to select also. I will try again today. But dension has no phone for support.
