Default PCA member or not?

I'm trying to decide if I should become a PCA member. Is it worth it? How good is the magazine? I already take excellence, should I still consider the PCA club?

Yes, especially if you intend to participate in their events, be it meetings, driver's education, rallies, etc.

How about 10% discount off all dealer work/purchases? That already paid for my membership several times over this first year.....

I think the discount is variable +/- and maybe not all dealers give it........

I've been a member for the last 6 years. Panorama is well produced and informative. My local chaptern (PCAUR) publishes Provinz, which is also very good on local interest topics.

I have saved the modest membership fee many times over with discounts on tires, 10% service discount at my local Porsche dealer and other items....a can't miss expenditure.

I've been a member over 25 years. Bought my first Porsche however in 1974. I thought at first it was a social organization so once I learned about it I never was interested until a friend straightened me out. It's sort of like a live hands-on version of the Rennlist. There is an awful lot of history and knowledge out there and the club lets you tap into it.

It also gives you a vehicle by which to get out there and exercise your cars with others who are as clinically insane about a piece of machinery are you are.

Join up. Besides 10-15% off many places (you'll see the ads in the magazine), there are great events like the Zone 1 Tech Tactics, DEs, etc.

It's like $40 and well worth it. Get involved a bit and you'll meet a great group of people.
