oil light?
I had a (lucky friend) drive my 997 out to my new place in between snow storms. Some 400 miles. He reports some oil light came on reminding him to add oil?? The oil level is at the top hack mark when the engine is cold, where it always is. I really don't know what he is talking about.
He is smart enough to know if the oil light came on to shut it down immediately.

One of the problems with these cars today is that there are a myriad of warning lights on the dash/console and several of them can be misinterpreted as "...some oil light."
Query your friend further with what other conditions were seen simultaneously, e.g., what was the oil pressure and oil temperature? What were the driving conditions?
It may very well be possible that this was an errant flicker, and there was no problem. Was it soon after engine start? During cruise?

Hi,
I did an oil change and added sezen quarts. The oil light came
on so I added two more. The indicator showed that the oil was
at the top but the light was still on. I disconnected the battery and reconnected
it. The light went out. I then spent the next week setting the radio.

I found the same oil use. I used 1 quart/litre per 1000 miles exactly for the first 3000-4000 miles. I did an oil change at about 6500 miles. It's used perhaps a quart in 2000 miles since the change.
