Default What's the story on this car?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2006-...QQcmdZViewItem

The ad says clean title and 8k miles on a c2S. Sounds fishy!

"Buy It Now" price of 44,700 ?????!!!!!!!!
Either that car is 1) f'd up, 2) it is a typo, or 3) somebody's divorce settlement and they want to **** off their husband.

Clearly a scam, and the scam is harvesting email addresses for fun and profit!

Notice the BS note:

Note: This listing is restricted to pre-approved bidders or buyers only. Email the seller to be placed on the pre-approved bidder list.

The seller also has a Lexus for sale at 20K below retail. Two scams at the same time.

Look again. The seller doesn't have any sales at all. He has 100+ purchases,--Obviously, this was a stolen eBay account.

Avoid at all costs. It should be reported to eBay.

What's that saying? If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!

I sent an e-mail through the "ask the seller" rout. The other email goes to a MSN account.

Proly a phishing scheme to collect personal information. The seller is very interested in preapproving the potential buyers while ebay has no notion or preapproving AFAIK.

Ebay should quash this thing. The odometer pic shows 2780 miles.
Advert lists mileage at 9300.

Typical scam. Ebay figures these out in a couple of days. The giveaway is: "Note: This listing is restricted to pre-approved bidders or buyers only." You email him and he emails you back something like this:

"Thanks you for you interests in mine cars. I is hurry to immediately sale. Please you send me you name and address and I ship cars to you on cargo. You no pay until after car received. Free ship as I am hurry. Thank and let me know please."

He wants you to pay a "tax" or something ridiculous. These idiots must find suckers somewhere, though.
