Congrats! Nice looking 997! You will love the Lapis. It does look darker in a cloudy day and lighter, more electric, in full sunshine.

No matter how often I see a 997 (including my own), I never tire of looking at other people pride and joy. It just reminds of how good I felt when I picked up my car for the first time.

Congratulations and enjoy!

FWIW, I have a 94 968 in Iris Blue and at the last concours I was parked next to a lapis blue 996. The colors were almost indistinguishable in overcast daylight. As you know the Iris can get purplish tones in the right light...not sure what the lapis does. I always thought lapis was a lot darker than Iris until I saw them side by side.

Oh very cool! Yes, I loved the purple tones of Iris---so the fact that Lapis may be similar makes my day.

Different world....you can confidently buy a car without seing the color chips (have pics from rennlist owners),
do the deal from Asia with a dealer in the NW based on a web search.
Will never visit the dealer or likely meet the sales guy and pick up the car after delivery in the bay area.

Just like buying a gadget from Amazon.

Granted we're not buying these cars for the "great deals we can get"... but I think this scenario (never visitin the dealer), will get you the best price.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone

Tone - nice car. I have seen the car in person at the dealer and it is beautiful. I will keep it for you here in Eastern Washington if you like. :-) until you can pick it up.
