as promised....i am just amazed at how the car came out. went as far as using the 3 items on the tank of my motorcycle.

thanks again to OCBen and Deanski for all of their contributions on the subject matter. www.autopia-carcare.com is a fantastic website and they offer great products as well. yes, towels do make a difference too. gets expensive fast though!

enjoy

I see that old Agip logo on your Motorcycle tank. I used to work at the US HQ for Agip. Love that logo. Oh, and that is one stunning silver beauty.

Your car looks great. I think I will try the product, it's seems that some products may be better for certain colors... BTW- the link that you had provided is incorrect. Instead of Autopia it should be autopia-carcare.
Happy detailing!

So, what may be an ignorance question, how much does the color of the car influence the products that should be used to clean/wax/seal? I watched the thread on GR, and now see it on silver, who has an opinion on Cobalt?

I have been using that combo (AIO-SG-PS21) for years!. Its one of my favorites for silver.

I aslso love the ducati. I have a 2000 996S but I top that off with Soveran.(Best wax for blacks and reds!)

....as an un solicited addendum, I've used Klasse for a few years and recently changed to Jeffs Werkstatt products. (also German based..) They appear to mirror the Klasse line but I find their product easier to use. The Klasse Sealant Glaze is not for the impatient nor lazy. If not applied perfectly it can ridge and mound to the point where it's hard to remove without starting over. There is also some varying opinion about using wax over light colors vs. acrylic sealers alone.

Oal...nicely done. I envy your Ducati. I got off two wheels (R90S) about 10yrs ago.

Yes, it takes a certain technique when working with it for optimum results. If not used properly it can be a real pain in the *** to remove.

For those wanting to know the optimum method of using Klasse HGSG see:

i did lots of reading on the application process and perhaps i erred to the conservative and used nothing more than a film when applying it. if i'm not mistaken the container went as far as saying "2 ounces should treat an entire car." if that's not telling i don't know what is! as for the wax over light colors vs. sealers alone, i'm not nearly veteran or not to answer that. i simply followed most of ocben's posts as well as other commentary found along the way.

as for the bike, it's my second ducati, my first being almost 15yrs ago. this one ('95 900ss sp) spends more than 90% of its time looking pretty in the garage as i want to keep it as pristine as possible. it's in beautiful shape given its age.

thanks!
