The 17-40L is a brilliant piece of kit.

On Topic: Those Kinesis wheels give that Cayman a really mean stance. Nice car.

Actually honestly I would say that is my least favourite lens of my kit. It takes photos just fine but there's no "wow" in this lens. My favourite by far is my 135 F/2L. FABULOUS lens.

I have that lens but am useing the new 17-55 2.8 IS lens (not L glass) a whole lot more. I also use my 100-400L a lot especially at races and airshows.

17-55 is a great lens for those using 1.6 crop bodies.

I am planning on upgrading to a 5D and did not want to invest in any non future compatible EF-S lenses.

I use a 70-200 F/2.8L that I like a lot.

I have read and been told that the 5d replacment will be out later this year...so either wait and get a great deal on a 5d or wait and get the newset gear.

Well they are replacing the 30D with the 40D this year, I think the 5D will be one extra year.

Regardless, the price has come WAY down with the rebate program!

Just that little extra torque and hp the 997 offers makes a huge different in daily driving IMO and I knew if I got the CS I would be longing for something different in a year. The irony is Porsche didn’t want to give the Cayman more power because of chance of cannibalization of 911 sales, but I would have bought a new Cayman S for $67k with the options I want if it had more power but I won’t buy a new 997 because the additional cost puts it out of my price range and I will just wait until the 997S falls into my price range on the pre-owned market (or the Cayman depreciates so much that a engine swap becomes attractive).
RR,

I'm with you on all counts....

Hi SS,

The rig is attached to the subject vehicle.

The shutter will either be released with a remote control or sometimes on a timer.
