Look for a 997s launch vehicle. These cars were loaded to 99k msrp and even have ceramic brakes. For some reason, they dropped quickly on the resale market and you could easily get one for under 70k. Perhaps you can find one certified with an exteded warranty.

 

How exactly do you look for a launch car? I remember the sames things you mention - PCCB, high prices, loaded, but how would you do a search for one in the market? They aren't special in any other way. I would think they would just be listed like any other '05 977 or 997S.

Autotrader.com and ebaymotors.com frequently have one for sale. If you see an 05 carrera s, black on black, full leather interior, yellow brake calipers, carrer s rims nav and adaptive sport seats, it's probably a launch car. Here's mine:
