Default You can't use oil extractors on the 997 can you?

These oil extractors were quite popular on M3 board. It's my understanding that these can't be used on the 997 because it's a dry sump engine. Correct?

by oil extractor, do you mean the extractor for oil change?

if so, i think you can use it.
997 is NOT dry sump.

HOWEVER, this is not the proper way to do oil change. get under the car, loosen one bolt, remove one filter and wait for 15 min. put in bolt and NEW filter. add oil.

kind of hard to use an extractor as the 997 has no dipstick

Yes I did mean an oil extractor. You're correct though, without a dipstick I'm not sure you can use it. I know this isn't as good as getting under the car and changing the oil, but it was popular on the m3 board as a quick and easy way to change the oil halfway between the manufacturers recommend service interval.
