Default Please Help ASAP -- Paintless Dent Removal Question

I have the paintless dent guy at my house right now. Do you tip these guys? I know this sounds dumb, but I am not sure. Price is $150. What would you do?

I don't think you need to tip, Amy.

And I don't think they expect to be tipped either.

I wouldn't.

If anything I would try to negotiate a lower price, but that's just me.

Thanks Ben. My husband and I are like two idiots trying to figure out what to do.

Somebody else here may have a different opinion, but I think these guys just do their repairs and don't expect to be tipped for doing it. ... kinda like a plumber.

But if he does such a superb job that it just blows you away and you feel it was worth more than what you were charged, then by all means tip if you want to.

for what it's worth, i tipped Mark $10 (overpaid by $10) because i felt like it. he came to my rescue on a busy saturday and made my day. the $150 was the least of my worries and $10 on the margin wasn't much more.

i hope it turned out to your satisfaction!

That might be what I end up doing. Thanks. He and his son are here now. Turns out I have three dings. I kind of forgot about the one because it's in a weird place and shallow.

He's going to my friend's house after he's done here.

You didn't happen to take before pics did you?

Would be nice to see before and after pics. I may need to use him if I ever happen to get a ding. Hope he does an excellent job for you.

I tried to take a picture of the one (small but sharp) but it really didn't turn out. The others are not very noticeable (excpet to me). Jamie (husband) claims he can't see the other two, but I can and this guy spotted them without me pointing them out.

Good to hear you're the car fanatic in your household.

I didn't tip Mark, but I offered to spread his card around at any car events and recommend him on line.

excellent....he is coming by next wednesday for yet another ding that i found while detailing my car today. he was quite appreciative of the calls that he has been receiving due to the referral on Rennlist and 6speedonline. i'm really happy that i could help the guy out as he seems like a very nice guy. good to know that his son is taking in his footsteps as well.

glad it turned out to your liking

On boy, you found another one? I've decided to collect a few and then have them all done at once (Mark removed 3 for me).
