Excellence.

Christophorus is like reading a fancy Porsche brochure.

Without doubt Excellence is the superior magazine with the best balance of Porsche coverage and easily the most objective view. Just read the Editorials from each magazine to get a flavour. Excellence is usually critical and inquisitive where the English magazines seem to suck-up to Porsche and the community more... Still, I get 'em all anyway!

Excellence is my choice. What's really amazing about it is that its layout is nearly identical to Bimmer - I think they're sister magazines - but Excellence is better-written, has superior photographs, more in-depth articles, and more technical analyses. Definitely the better choice between marque magazines.

My order of my magazine preferences goes: Evo (UK), Car (UK), Autocar (UK), Autoweek, Excellence. The US buff books (C&D, R&T, etc) can be fun to read, but don't provide news as quickly as the weeklies and aren't as well-written as the UK monthlies.

Do the general Porsche magazines have a lot of focus on Boxsters though?

A ton of Boxster stuff in Excellence, for sure. Great magazine, love the photography and the tech tips.

Christophorus is the factory magazine, I believe. So it would reason that it be slightly pro-Porsche I really enjoy excellence. Less of the new car reviews and more of cars that have been modified or restored by enthusiasts. 911 & Porsche World is also a good read. My favorite is probably the 356 Registry magazine. Not sold on newstands and featuring only 356's (which I unfortunately do not own yet), but lots of club pictures of their events. With Pano, GT Porsche and Total 911, I guess we're lucky to have so many to choose from to fit our taste. However, my favorite non-Porsche magazine is Autoweek. Gotta love a car magazine that comes every week

GT PORSCHE is the best IMHO. Followed closely by 911 & Porsche World.

356 Registry has a GREAT magazine if you are into 356's, also the Porsche 356 Club [SoCal Registry affiliate] has its own very, very nice magazine.

Otherwise, I think Excellence is the best, Pano somewhat interesting, Christophorus a manufacturer promotional piece, slightly interesting but full of advertising for expensive jewelry and other stuff I can't afford.
