Default Air Leaking

I purchased my car last week and have only put on around 100 miles. My right rear tire is losing around 2 pounds a day. If this is a nail, will the dealership take care of it since there is no way to prove I didn't buy it with a nail in it?

I doubt it. You've could have have picked up the nail in your first 100 miles. Call them...but I really doubt it. They will not repair the tire and they'll also tell you that you shouldn't fix it, rather they'll sell you a new tire.

Find a great tire place and they will patch the inside....assuming it's a nail on the thread and not the sidewall. A patch will be fine....don't use a plug. Try to find someone that knows about tires so that the balance is kept, etc.

I got a slow leak on the right rear as well. Thanks god the neil was at the center and I got it plug, patch and balance for $51. Don't waste money on a new tire. Just get it repair. Unless you plan to track you car, than got a new tire. Seem like right rear is the favor tire to pick up neil. Good Luck.

Hi,
I got a nail in the tire and had it patched.
I then took it to the track for a event. The
patches they use today are very good.

PAULSPEED, yes I agree. Most people will feel better with a new/good tire for tracking event. I personally don't have problem with patched tire.
