Default discounts on 997S ordered prior to YE?

I'm ready to order a minimally optioned 997S. Traveling to pick it up is not an issue (I bought my last new car from Champion in Fla). Any thoughts on who may be willing to offer the best deal to use up an allotment before the year closes out? Do the dealers get "credit" for deals closed prior to year end even if the car isn't delivered until a few months into 2007? I'm only interested in power seats, carrera classic wheels, and PSE so buying off the lot tends to not work out for me this time around.

Thanks,
Rick

I just ordered a minimally optioned 997C2 and got 7.3% off MSRP from the closest dealer to me (~12 miles). Thankfully, I won't have to have it shipped or have to drive it a long distance home once it arrives. BTW, I'm in the Bay Area, CA.

I believe some of the northern (snowy) states are offering 8-10% off.

Cheers!

I got almost 10% off from a dealer in Ohio, I am going to have to pay for shipping. He had a mid Jan. build so I won't have to wait long. All the local dealers at best here in S. California would offer is $1-2K off of MSRP. Some states near by the best I can find is 3-4% off. What dealer in Bay area is offering more than 5%?

It should be at least $6K. You can get deals as good as $500 over invoice on left over 06's.

I recently acquired (actually this last Friday) a 2007 Carrera S for almost 8% off from a Northern California dealer. I live in Southern California so I took a flight up in the morning, dealer arranged to have me picked up from the airport and I drove it home - around 380 miles. However, I know of a dealer with a blk/blk S 06 pretty loaded msrp around 93K for 10k off. Let me know. Once I get it cleaned up I am going to post pictures and introduce myself to the board.

Dude, your avatar is killing me only problem is that I'll only be able to read a few words of anything you post because I keep going back and forth.

Check the dealership in Lexington KY. They are pretty aggressive with their pricing. www.porsche-lex.com
