I get a smell when I run the heat or the AC. It never really bothered me and I thought it was kind of a new car smell. It was got cold enough to run the heat here and it was there it was at 5000 miles. No big deal.

Yeah Baby,....gotta love it. If you look closely, you can see some of the brownish protectant on the bottom of the front suspension arms. This pic was taken on my pre-delivery inspection.

Nice pic! I see it was right after they washed it.

You don't know how much Motor Kote dressing I use for the underside during a detail. Looks great when cleaned and dressed with a dressing that does not attract dirt/dust.

That reminds me, the front shot... I need to replace the pan under the front bumper when I wacked it and the Aero lip. Winter project.

Good 'ol Cosmoline! Still with us after all these years! Hate to look at it, but it DOES what it is designed for. Look at an engine that has it still on the underside and the aluminum looks good. W/O it, pitted like mad, then the oxidation and white crusting when not protected by something.

Cosmoline has a strong oily smell when heated. Sick smell too.

Regards,
Deanski

Your responses based upon experience are much appreciated. I tend to agree with the cosmoline idea. I will watch for leaks andjust continue to enjoy the ride!

Thanks again for the responses.
